Habitat Restoration

A local contractor was tasked with spreading 300 yards of sand/gravel over a 100k sqft tidal flat area to cap contamination and allow birds & other animals to return to their natural habitat.  Their heavy equipment struggled with the tide, getting stuck a couple times and limiting their work times. 

We were able to work from the pile in any weather and tidal condition to help get the job completed faster without risk of getting equipment stuck.  Our efforts were rewarded with an environmental award from the Department of Natural Resources.

We can support the Army Corps ERDC initiative of Strategic Placement for Beneficial Use of Dredged Material (ERDC/CHL SR-19-3) by moving remote dredge piles to local habitats or loading it onto ships or trucks for regional transport to beneficial use sites, like construction or other environmental.

USACE in Alabama needed to have material placed back into washed away areas on the Tombigbee River, so we helped move dredge piles to support natural environment restoration. 

Local contractors also wanted the beautiful white sand for golf courses, so we helped recover valuable sand that would be backfilled further by dredging establishing a cost effective win-win for the environment and local need.

We are able to place sand on a beach from a long ways away... either from a staging area with a loader, a ship or loaded directly from trucks without material touching the ground.

Loading from a remote, safe place, we can carefully snake pipe and hose through heavily wooded or environmentally sensitive areas and accurately blow material into specific places hundreds of feet away.
